How to deal with QuickBooks Error 15243?

​It doesn’t matter how perfect an IT solution is, problems and issues will come along with it as it is one of the most common things in the always evolving world of IT and the same thing goes for QuickBooks which is the most advanced and robust accounting software solution in the world.
QuickBooks is known for its advanced accounting features and ease of use and that’s why it is preferred by both professionals and newbie. As discussed above, even QuickBooks can show you some errors and one of the most common errors in QuickBooks is Error 15243. You should know that, you don’t need to panic whenever you face errors in QuickBooks as there are simple steps involved in solving these errors and in this blog post, we will be looking at the simple steps involved in solving Error 15243.

There are various ways of solving Error 15243 in QuickBooks and we will look at each one of them one by one.

​The first way to deal with Error 15243 is to repair registry entries affiliated with the Error.

  • First of all, you will have to click on Start.
  • Then you will need to enter command in the search box but don’t press Enter.
  • After that, you will have to press and hold the ctrl+shift key together.
  • Now, you will have to open box that is with the permission dialog box. You will be prompted and then you will have to press Enter key.
  • Now, you will see the cursor will start to blink and a black box will appear on the screen.
  • Type regedit and press Enter.
  • After that, you will have to select the folder where you want to save the QuickBooks backup key, in a Save in’ list, in the file name box, write a name for the backup file for making sure that the Selected Branch is chosen in the Export Range box and save the files.
  • Finally, you will have to save the file with .reg file domain. and you are ready with a backup of your QuickBooks related registry entry. 

The second way to deal with Error 15243 is to do full malware scan of PC because in many situations this Error arises because of infection in PC. The malicious intruders can harm files, corrupt or even wipeout Runtime Errors. The infected system might be the sole reason for your error and that’s’ why you should do a full malware scan of the PC and then check whether the problem still persists or not.
The third way to deal with Error 15243 is to remove Junk file from your system with Disk cleanup and for doing so, you will have to follow the below-mentioned steps:-

  • First of all, you will have to click on the Start icon.
  • Then you will have to search command in the search area but don’t press Enter.
  • After that, you will have to press crtl+shift key together.
  • Then open box that is with the permission dialog box. You will be prompted and press Enter key.
  • Then you will notice that cursor will start blinking and black box will appear on the screen.
  • You will have to type cleanmgr and press Enter.
  • The disk cleanup will start in order to calculate how much disk space is recoverable.
  • The disk cleanup dialog box will now appear with a series of checkboxes that you can select. You should know that in most of the cases, the temporary files category occupies the most disk space.
  • Finally, you will have to check the boxes of a section that you want to clear and press ok. 

The fourth way to do it is by just updating your system driver because in many cases, we have seen that the Error 15243 occurs just because of outdated system driver.
